Safety Engineer Safety Engineer Join a fast-paced manufacturing team where safety is treated as a core value—not a check-the-box requirement. As the Safety Engineer , you'll own and continuously improve plant-wide EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leaders across operations, engineering, maintenance, HR, and quality to eliminate hazards, reduce incidents, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. As the Safety Engineer , you'll own and continuously improve plant-wide EHS programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and partner with leaders across operations, engineering, maintenance, HR, and quality to eliminate hazards, reduce incidents, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Lead and improve plant safety programs by developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and safety management system elements that drive measurable risk reduction. Ensure regulatory compliance and readiness across OSHA (29 CFR 1910), EPA, NFPA, and applicable state/local requirements—including audits, documentation, and recordkeeping. Identify and control risk at the source through inspections, hazard assessments, JHAs/risk assessments, and proactive partnership on equipment installs/expansions to incorporate safe design and engineering controls. Respond to and prevent incidents by leading investigations (root cause analysis), implementing corrective/preventive actions, delivering safety training, and supporting emergency preparedness and response activities. What You Bring (Requirements) Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, EHS, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. 3-5 years of manufacturing safety experience , including hands-on OSHA compliance and practical application of general industry standards. Proven incident investigation capability , including root cause analysis and driving corrective actions to completion. Strong communication and influence skills , with experience delivering training, partnering cross-functionally, and using data/metrics to guide safety improvements. Nice to Have (Preferred)
