We're looking for Fire Protection Engineering Interns to join our Life Sciences North America team in various locations who are excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients' business. As a Fire Protection Engineering Intern, you will support the design, analysis, and implementation of fire protection systems for a variety of advanced facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards. You'll use your skills and experience to help deliver and complete challenging and engaging buildings projects. In this role, you'll work in the design of sprinkler systems, special hazards suppression systems, fire pumps, fire alarm systems, and building/life safety codes under the guidance of a knowledgeable team of experienced Fire Protection Engineers. You'll coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to address fire protection and life safety challenges during design and construction phases. Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
3.0 GPA or higher Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Prior work or internship experience in Fire Protection Engineering Familiarity with NFPA and ICC codes and standards University level experience with CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) (FDS) modeling and analysis Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
