Our esteemed global manufacturing organization is in search of a skilled Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Engineer to spearhead environmental, health, safety, and security initiatives across various manufacturing facilities in the Eastern Tennessee area. Key Responsibilities As the EHS&S Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the plant leadership team, ensuring employee protection, regulatory compliance, and overall operational safety enhancement.
Your duties will include:
Leading Environmental, Health, Safety & Security programs for multiple manufacturing facilities Devising and executing strategic EHSS initiatives to enhance workplace safety and environmental compliance Overseeing departmental budgets and safety enhancement projects Serving as the facility's representative on the Global EHSS Council Driving ISO 14001 and
ISO 45001
management systems and continuous improvement efforts Conducting Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), safety observations, incident investigations, and risk assessments Developing and delivering EHSS training programs for employees and leadership Ensuring adherence to OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and other federal, state, and local regulations Managing Workers' Compensation processes and initiatives for reducing injuries Monitoring key performance metrics and recommending process enhancements Promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the organization Requirements We are seeking candidates who possess: Preferably a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing setting (with degree) 8+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing (without degree) A sound understanding of OSHA, EPA, DOT, TDEC, and environmental regulations Experience with implementing or managing ISO 14001 and
ISO 45001
systems Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills Strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence individuals at all levels of the organization Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Why This Opportunity?
