• Fire Protection Engineer Remote/Hybrid/Onsite

• Qualifications
• + BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university program.

+ Registered engineer in fire protection; or in related discipline (e.g., mechanical, or electrical) and willing to become registered in fire protection by exam. + Minimum of 10 years' experience in major aspects of industrial fire protection and life safety, and major codes and standards, including: + NFPA suppression system standards (water, foam, foam-water, gaseous) + NFPA alarm system standards (including air aspiration) + DOE and

DOD + API + ICC + FM

Global Data Sheets + Special hazards, including: + Electric generating plants (hydroelectric, fossil fuels) + Facilities handling nuclear materials + Battery energy storage systems + Flammable and combustible liquids + LNG and LPG + Explosions and deflagrations + Existing facility evaluations + Fire hazard and risk evaluations / analyses + Fire modeling + Life safety (NFPA, IBC/IFC, OSHA) + Performance based design + Hydraulic analysis

• Computer skills:
• + Desirable to be familiar with various CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD (and HydraCalc) + Hydraulic analysis software (e.g., HASS, HydraCALC)
• Communication skills:
• + Must be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and in a manner readily understood by stakeholders outside the fire protection profession + Must be able to write clearly and succinctly + Must be able to engage stakeholders (client, authority, management) in discussions related to fire and life safety issues and clearly communicate ...
• Managerial skills (senior and mid-level):
• + Develop engineering deliverables, scope of work, budget (engineering hours) and schedule + Must be familiar with Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS)

• Essential Functions:

• + Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting.

Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing, and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. • Compensation Details:

• $120,000 - $180,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
