Job Description
- Fire Protection Engineer Remote/Hybrid/Onsite
- We're looking for a Fire Protection Engineer to work with designers and engineers to complete technical portions of projects within established scopes, budgets and schedules.
- Qualifications
- + BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university program.
DOD + API + ICC + FM
Global Data Sheets + Special hazards, including: + Electric generating plants (hydroelectric, fossil fuels) + Facilities handling nuclear materials + Battery energy storage systems + Flammable and combustible liquids + LNG and LPG + Explosions and deflagrations + Existing facility evaluations + Fire hazard and risk evaluations / analyses + Fire modeling + Life safety (NFPA, IBC/IFC, OSHA) + Performance based design + Hydraulic analysis- Computer skills:
- + Desirable to be familiar with various CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, HydraCAD (and HydraCalc) + Hydraulic analysis software (e.g., HASS, HydraCALC)
- Communication skills:
- + Must be able to communicate complex ideas clearly and in a manner readily understood by stakeholders outside the fire protection profession + Must be able to write clearly and succinctly + Must be able to engage stakeholders (client, authority, management) in discussions related to fire and life safety issues and clearly communicate ...
- Managerial skills (senior and mid-level):
- + Develop engineering deliverables, scope of work, budget (engineering hours) and schedule + Must be familiar with Earned Value Measurement System (EVMS)
Essential Functions:
- + Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting.
Equipment and Machines:
Standard office PC, with software will be provided + Travel required - As needed +Attendance:

Compensation Details:
- $120,000 - $180,000 The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
