Job Summary

Lead Critical Manufacturing Data Visualization Modernization as a Process Engineer!

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to lead the conversion of legacy PI ProcessBook displays into modern PI Vision dashboards across multiple manufacturing sites.

In this high-impact role, youll work directly with operations, process engineering, and site leadership teams to migrate, validate, standardize, and optimize critical process monitoring and reporting tools. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System who enjoys combining technical expertise with stakeholder collaboration.

What Youll DoPI Vision Migration & Development

Inventory and assess existing PI ProcessBook displays across multiple manufacturing locations.

Convert legacy ProcessBook displays to PI Vision while maintaining functionality and usability.

Develop and enhance PI Vision dashboards that support operations, KPI monitoring, and performance management.

Identify opportunities to improve dashboard performance, user experience, and visualization effectiveness during migration efforts.

Validation & Quality Assurance

Verify migrated displays against existing ProcessBook applications.

Validate process data, calculations, trends, and visualizations for accuracy.

Support user acceptance testing and deployment activities.

Troubleshoot display issues, data references, and user access concerns.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Support

Partner with:

Operations teams

Process Engineers

Site Leadership

Subject Matter Experts

Gather requirements and understand operational reporting needs.

Ensure dashboards accurately reflect production processes and key business metrics.

Communicate project status and migration progress to stakeholders.

Standardization & Documentation

Establish standards for:

Dashboard design

Naming conventions

Navigation structures

Visualization practices

Develop migration documentation, standards, and best practices.

Produce final migration reports and recommendations for future enhancements.

Required Qualifications

Experience with AVEVA / OSIsoft PI System technologies.

Experience creating, supporting, or migrating:

PI ProcessBook displays

PI Vision dashboards

Understanding of:

Industrial process data

Manufacturing KPIs

Process historians

Trending and visualization tools

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PI Asset Framework (AF).

Experience developing advanced PI Vision dashboards.

Knowledge of manufacturing performance systems, including:

OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

Downtime Tracking

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Batch Monitoring

Tier Management Systems

Experience working within manufacturing, industrial, or process operations environments.

Experience supporting enterprise-wide dashboard standardization initiatives.

Key Deliverables

Complete migration of legacy PI ProcessBook displays to PI Vision across three manufacturing sites.

Verification and validation of all migrated dashboards.

Documentation of migration standards, design decisions, and best practices.

Final project status report identifying:

Completed migrations

Outstanding items

Future enhancement opportunities

Pay Details:

$40.00 per hour
