Production Optimization Manager Reference-No.: 200004030 Department Production & Material Manufacturing industry & skilled workers Position Employee Location USA, Mobile Purpose & key responsibilities of the role: The Production Optimization Manager is responsible for leading initiatives that improve operational performance, production reliability, and manufacturing efficiency across the Lenzing Fibers facility. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership to manufacturing operations by identifying opportunities to enhance throughput, quality, safety, and cost performance while ensuring sustainable and environmentally responsible practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Safety teams to drive continuous improvement, optimize production processes, develop manufacturing personnel, and support the plant's long-term growth objectives. Lead efforts to maximize production capacity, asset utilization, and operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of safety and product quality. Analyze manufacturing performance to identify process bottlenecks, production constraints, and improvement opportunities affecting plant throughput and reliability. Partner with Operations and Engineering teams to implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce variability, and improve overall equipment performance. Facilitate regular operational performance reviews, prioritizing risks, opportunities, and action plans to ensure achievement of production goals. Develop and support process studies, troubleshooting activities, and data-driven analyses to improve process stability and manufacturing performance. Provide technical and operational guidance to production teams on best practices, process controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support the development and execution of capital projects that enhance facility capacity, process efficiency, sustainability, and operational reliability. Support the growth and development of employees through coaching, training, mentoring, and succession planning activities. Lead or support investigations involving significant operational incidents, ensuring timely completion of corrective actions and follow-up activities. Champion sustainable manufacturing practices consistent with Lenzing's commitment to environmental responsibility. Coordinate with Supply Chain and Purchasing teams to support raw material availability, inventory optimization, and production planning requirements. Our expectations for this exciting role: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field required Minimum of 10+ yrs of experience improving production performance through process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organizational change. Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build collaborative relationships across all levels of the organization. Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills with the ability to influence and drive results in a team environment. Working knowledge of applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing setting.
