What to Expect
TheThe Supplier Quality Field Engineerworks withfieldReliability, Supplier Quality, Industrialization Engineersto identify and validate the impact ofissuesroot caused tosupplierdesign, manufacturing/process non-conformities affecting our Tesla fleet in North America and overseas markets. In collaboration withSupplyChainManagers,they willexecutecost recoveryprojectsbased onroot cause analysis as well assupplier agreements(technical factors), thiswhile collectingevidenceto serve as foundation for SupplierWarranty Liability Agreements. What You'll Do
Serve as the Key point of contact forWarrantySupplier chargebacks(end customerreplacements)for vehicles produced at the Fremont Factory
Monitor containmentscreated at the factory thatmay have includedescapesto the fieldfor the same issue prior to containment.
Collaborating on Service campaign documentation,defining suspect window population and assessing with Service teams the documentation required to make sure field replacements arecorrectly done (Technical Service Bulletin)
Collaboration on Field replacementsinvestigationbydetermining the suspectedimpact to Teslaonce Root cause and Corrective actions have been determined
Lead Service Campaign / Recall cost recovery for supplier caused issues
Provide support to Procurement (SCM, GSM) team on cost recovery negotiation What You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of component or assembly plant experience supporting or similar in Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Process, Quality, or Manufacturing Engineering role Knowledge. Experience in avehiclemanufacturing organization is strongly preferred
Strong presentation skills-prepared, confident, and passionate, using clear and organized content with strong visuals to engage an audience.
Ability to communicate across cultures and geographic regions
Proven ability to operate under pressure with rigid time constraints
Can track and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours
Quality systems management and Quality Tools strong experience (8D, Fishbone, Control chart, Histogram, etc.)

Expected Compensation
$84,000 - $174,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
