Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add an Industrial Engineering Manager located in Milpitas, California . The Industrial Engineering Manager will lead a team of Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians responsible for labor planning, capacity analysis, factory layout design, workforce optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations. This role supports operational excellence through effective workforce planning, work measurement methodologies, ergonomic process design, and manufacturing optimization practices. The successful candidate will work closely with Operations, NPI, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Business Excellence, Process/Manufacturing Engineering teams to support manufacturing efficiency, productivity improvements, and successful new product introductions. What a typical day looks like: Lead and develop a team of Industrial Engineers and IE Technicians supporting manufacturing operations. Manage workforce planning, labor standards, staffing models, time studies, and work measurement systems. Conduct capacity analysis, resource planning, and labor forecasting to meet production and customer demand requirements. Design and optimize manufacturing layouts, workflows, and line balancing activities to improve productivity, efficiency, and space utilization. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and manufacturing readiness through labor planning, capacity assessments, and production readiness reviews. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on labor efficiency, throughput, waste reduction, and Lean Manufacturing principles. Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Engineering teams to resolve operational challenges and support cost reduction and performance improvement efforts. The experience we're looking to add to our team: Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field. 5-8 years of Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. 2-5 years of experience leading engineers, technicians, or technical teams. Experience with workforce planning, labor standards development, time studies, and work measurement methodologies (MOST, MODAPTS, MTM). Experience in manufacturing capacity analysis, resource planning, and productivity improvement initiatives. Proficiency with manufacturing engineering tools, including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, FlexSim, or similar software. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Finance, Quality, Supply Chain, and NPI teams.
