Responsibilities include front and back-office duties such as patient registration, insurance verification, vital signs, patient intake, and exam preparation. The role also involves performing clinical tasks like ECG, specimen collection, venipuncture, injections, charting, and supply management. Providing patient education, assisting with records, scheduling, medication refills, and resolving minor issues are key. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years related experience, Medical Assistant certification, BLS certification (or within 30 days), and proficiency in medical systems and Microsoft Office. Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding is preferred. Candidates must have excellent customer service, reliable attendance, and language skills in English; bilingual in Spanish, Mandarin, or Vietnamese is a plus.
