We are seeking a collaborative and results-driven Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, eliminate non-value-added activities, and drive continuous improvement across bulk cable and cable assembly operations. As part of a diverse and high-performing operations team, you will collaborate directly with operators to drive lean manufacturing, error prevention, and key equipment/method upgrades. You will play a vital role in taking ownership of key QMS processes, launching new products, and empowering cross-functional teams to meet operational performance goals.
Leadership & Core Responsibilities Process Optimization & Technical Ownership Process Development & Evaluation:
Continuously develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, focusing on the design and optimization of bulk cable and cable assembly production.
New Product Launch & Technical Leadership:
Serve as the technical lead for new product launches, equipment upgrades, product transfers, ECNs, and line balancing using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
Scrap Reduction & Line Optimization:
Recommend and execute changes to work methods, raw materials, and equipment to maximize resource utilization and significantly decrease scrap as a percentage of sales.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Operator Collaboration & Troubleshooting:
Partner with floor operators to perform blueprint interpretation, troubleshoot operational issues, ensure error prevention, and eliminate non-value-added tasks.
Mentorship & Communication:
Serve as a mentor across departments to cultivate a continuous improvement environment, ensuring team members understand organizational goals and their role in reaching them.
Business Development & Operations Support:
Provide direct technical support to business development functions as well as ongoing operations on existing product lines.
Quality Management & Execution QMS & Document Control Maintenance:
Maintain and update key portions of the Quality Management System (QMS)—including document control—and evaluate procedures for new designs prior to manufacturing release.
Functional Strategy Execution:
Autonomously set and execute strategy to achieve or exceed key performance results, utilizing available resources while maintaining a strong sense of urgency.
Position Requirements Education & Technical Qualifications Education:
Bachelor of Science engineering degree (Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, or Material Science) from an accredited college or university.
Experience:
3+ years of progressive engineering, process engineering, or manufacturing processes experience within an industry-related domain.
Industry Domain:
Excellent knowledge of bulk cable and cable assembly design, materials, components, manufacturing processes, line balancing, and testing.
Certifications & Competencies Certifications:
Six Sigma Green Belt required.
Systems Proficiency:
Google Enterprise, ADP, Epicor.
Core Competencies:
Strong alignment with core values (Accountability, Collaboration, Empowerment); expertise in blueprint interpretation, product launches, ECNs, product transfers, and Lean manufacturing.
Compensation, Benefits & Legal Total Rewards & Compensation Base Salary Range:
Up to $150,000 per year (DOE), contingent upon experience, education, skills, and relevant hiring factors.
Incentive Compensation:
AIP target 5%
