Primary Responsibilities As part of the site leadership team, the Production Manager will have the opportunity to work with a collaborative team to support our nations war fighters. Agility, flexibility, and creativity will be necessary to successfully navigate production challenges.

Responsibilities include:

Manage and lead a team of machinists and production technician, and provide leadership to 2nd shift support staff including quality and engineering Maintain shop organization and 5S, performing weekly 5S audits Provide effective passdown status between shifts Work with production control team to understand deliverables and deploy resources effectively to support on time delivery Work with manufacturing engineering to continuously improve production flow Work with quality to understand status of nonconformities and support closure to move forward to the next step Identify production roadblocks and escalate to appropriate teams Hold team accountable to adhering to the written production processes Identify and support execution of continuous improvement projects Identify and escalate risks in the production processes Maintain department performance metrics Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain Secret Clearance. Work schedule will be Monday-Thursday 2pm-12am, overtime on Friday as required Basic Qualifications Candidate least 5+ years manufacturing experience with increasing levels of responsibility. Prior supervisory experience Prior exposure to precision machining and assembly processes Experience with MRP/ERP systems Understanding of GD&T Proficient with Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Preferred Qualifications BS degree in engineering, logistics, or business Lean manufacturing experience with Six Sigma certification. Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
