Job Description

Summary:
Manages supplier quality performance for electrical and electronic components by leading supplier qualification, process audits, product validation, nonconformance resolution, and continuous improvement across assigned suppliers. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Controls, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering Minimum 8-10 years of hands-on industry experience in controls, electrical, and electronics engineering, design, quality, or manufacturing Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain or supplier quality Experience with electrical or instrumentation product manufacturing Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, international technical standards, and manufacturing process plans Technical knowledge required to lead design and manufacturing reviews with suppliers Strong background in PCBA quality evaluation Ability to trace and interpret wiring schematics and logic circuits Project management skills Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally on short notice, with travel exceeding 50% Preferred Skills Advanced technical degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering Knowledge and experience in the instrumentation field Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification, or equivalent applied experience Experience improving supplier statistical capability and evaluating supplier readiness, including capacity verification Knowledge of industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, ISO, ANSI, and NEMA Knowledge of nuclear industry standards such as N299.2 and
N299.3 ISO
Lead Auditor certification through a third-party registrar or accepted internal certification program Certified RCA Leader credential or formal problem-solving expertise using methods such as Kepner-Tregoe, 8D, or Apollo Experience in power generation equipment manufacturing Field experience in gas turbine power plants related to quality, maintenance, or operation of electrical equipment Familiarity with Mark VIe, PCBAs, wire harnesses, cables, control cabinets, sensors, transducers, switches, and control transformers Job Responsibilities Manage quality performance of assigned suppliers Manage supplier qualifications to ensure suppliers can consistently meet engineering drawing and specification requirements Own product and manufacturing process qualifications at assigned suppliers and ensure timely closure Execute new supplier evaluation and onboarding activities, including quality and compliance audits Conduct surveillance audits to verify process controls, product acceptance standards, and supplier quality systems Support serial production needs and product release activities aligned with project and customer requirements Organize and perform supplier inspections to ensure product quality compliance Support customer witness inspections, including Factory Acceptance Tests and Customer Observation Point inspections Witness testing at independent third-party laboratories Own supplier responsibility governance metrics for assigned suppliers and conduct audits based on audit plans and business needs Collect supplier process data for critical-to-quality characteristics Conduct process capability analysis and work with suppliers to improve capability and reduce issue trends Drive supplier continuous improvement projects Manage supplier nonconformance reports, service notices, warranty claim dispositions, supplier recoveries, and supplier deviation requests Perform root cause analysis to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence Serve as the first technical interface between suppliers, engineering, and internal stakeholders Coordinate with sourcing, design engineering, and materials and process engineering functions Drive adherence to quality procedures and specification requirements Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure product and process compliance Work with commercial, engineering, and manufacturing teams to remove barriers affecting sourced component quality and delivery Provide sourcing quality input during product design reviews Support supplier base development by improving existing suppliers and helping identify and approve new suppliers
Pay:
