Farm Assistant

Job description Job Overview Colorado Aromatics is seeking Part-Time Herb Farm Assistant to join our team for the growing season or longer. This position includes a combination of outdoor farm work and indoor product packaging and labeling. You will work alongside the business owner and farm volunteers. Farm responsibilities include weeding, planting, harvesting, drying, processing, and storing herbs, along with general farm maintenance. We are also looking for someone who can occasionally assist at farmers markets and special events. The ideal candidate has an interest in herbs, farming, skincare, or sustainable agriculture; enjoys working outdoors; is dependable and willing to learn; and is physically capable of farm work in varying weather conditions. This seasonal position runs from May through September, with the possibility of extending through the holiday season. Schedule

• Wednesday mornings approx 8:00 am
• 11:00 am or noon
• Some Friday mornings
• Occasional Saturday market and special events
• possible other hours

Responsibilities:

Weeding rows of herbs and maintain growing areas. Operate mower as needed Assist with planting, growing, and harvesting herbs

• Help harvest, dry, process and store herbs Assist with drip irrigation system and laying ground covers Follow all safety protocols and guidelines
• Assist occasionally with farmers markets, product demos and customer Service-Help with cleaning, organizing and general farm tasks

Skills:

Strength and ability for farm work and ability to work in hot/ cold weather

• Reliable, punctual and willing to learning-Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Basic math skills for handling money and weighing products
• Ability to communicate with customers about skincare-Experience with farming, gardening, greenhouse work or herbs is a plus About Us Colorado Aromatics is a natural skincare company that grows many of the herbs used in our products on our farm.
