Job Description

Job Summary:
Technology company is seeking a Process Engineer-Electrical or Mechanical to join the team in our New Castle, Delaware pilot plant facility. This position will be responsible for conducting engineering calculations, installation and maintenance of industrial electrical systems, starting up various chemical processes, collecting data and reporting results. Candidate will work in a team environment and support troubleshooting of existing designs. The Process Engineer - Electrical or Mechanical duties include but are not limited to: Hands-on participation in the specification, calculation, equipment assembly, utility connections, startup, operation, teardown, cleanup & maintenance of various pilot plant processes both in our New Castle facility & external technology partner locations. Perform data analysis & interpretation of experimental data generated. Operation, installation, and maintenance (OIM) of electrical systems (hands-on 110V, & 220V wire runs/connections as well as familiarity with 208/480V, 3 phase power distribution systems) Data acquisition skills during testing / operation as well as willingness to learn and implement industrial process control system architectures. Develop SOPs that are accurate, properly maintained and implemented. Precommissioning, Commissioning and Startup support to operations as required.
Requirements & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is required. Industrial experience as a process or project engineer with batch and continuous process operations is required. Industrial experience with 3 phase electrical systems, including installation and maintenance of motors, starters, VFDs, and related controls. Industrial experience with installation and maintenance of low voltage instrumentation and control systems. Understanding and implementation of industrial electrical safety practices such as lockout/tagout, deenergizing, PPE, and appropriate testing. Familiarity with Windows architecture and IT troubleshooting, including familiarity with installing new programs and features to computers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong computer skills are required including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Excellent mechanical skills including the ability to manipulate common hand tools is required. Ability to work cooperatively and supportively with a broad range of individuals with different levels of education and experience. Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously with guidance on priority in order to meet established deadlines. Willingness to grow with the company and accept new challenges. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
