Job Description
•A Snapshot of Your Day•You will strengthen the industrial systems of SiemensEnergy's global supply base, particularly in high‑complexity manufacturingenvironments. This role focuses on supplier production systems and capabilitybuilding, not site-based Industrial Engineering support inside a single plant, and not supplier quality work centered on inspections, audits, or correctiveaction loops. Your work combines structured diagnosis of production systems(capacity, flow, stability, constraints) with targeted improvements and theexpectation to translate what works into repeatable methods others can apply.
You will operate in a corporate Supplier Development environment, workingacross business areas and functions, influencing suppliers and internalstakeholders across regions and cultures to drive sustainable improvementsbeyond individual interventions. •How You'll Make an Impact•+ Diagnose supplier production systems (flow, capacity, constraints, stability) and identify root causes of system-levelgaps. + Drive targeted improvements in throughput, leadtime, and robustness through bottleneck resolution and system-levelcountermeasures. + Strengthen supplier capability through robustoperating routines (system visibility, review cadence, escalation logic, structured problem solving). + Translate enterprise priorities into sequencedsupplier development initiatives with clear baselines and measurable outcomes. + Convert hands-on improvement experience intostandard work, playbooks, and training that enable repeatability across teams. + Operate across business areas in a matrixenvironment, influencing stakeholders and enabling sustained adoption throughtechnical credibility. •What You Bring•+ Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, ManufacturingEngineering, Production Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering. + 5+ experience improving production systems inhigh complexity industrial supplier manufacturing environments. + Deep systems thinking grounded in flow, capacity, constraints, variability, and stability. + Proven ability to diagnose and improve realproduction systems using data, analytics, and emerging digital/AI based toolsto support decisions and performance discussions, not just track or reportoutcomes. + Experience translating hands-on work intorepeatable methods (standard work, routines, templates, playbooks) to enableothers via coaching and training. + Ability to influence across functions withoutdirect authority; comfortable operating in ambiguous, cross-functionalenvironments and willing to travel internationally up to 30%. (travel varies bysupplier priorities and project phase) + Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers. •About The Team•You will be part of the global Supplier Development functionwithin Strategic Procurement at Siemens Energy, responsible for strengtheningsupplier capability as a strategic lever for business performance and long-termcompetitiveness. The team operates globally, partnering closely withProcurement, Engineering, Quality, and Operations.
