Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems within an aerospace manufacturing environment. This role ensures products meet internal standards, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines. The Quality Engineer will work cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain teams to support continuous improvement, resolve quality issues, and maintain compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace quality standards . Job Duties & Responsibilities Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with
AS9100/ISO 9001
standards. Participate in internal audits and support external audits conducted by customers, regulatory bodies, and certification agencies. Support the development and revision of quality procedures, work instructions, and documentation. Generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports in accordance with company requirements and AS9102 standards. Assist in reviewing and approving manufacturing plans, process documentation, and engineering drawings for quality requirements. Support production teams with day-to-day quality issues, including facilitating Material Review Board (MRB) meetings, conducting nonconformance analysis, and completing/verifying corrective actions. Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process assemblies, and finished goods using precision measurement tools. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving activities using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone Diagrams, and 8D methodologies . Assist in evaluating supplier performance, reviewing supplier documentation, and processing supplier nonconformance reports. Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure suppliers meet aerospace quality requirements. Contribute to process improvement projects focused on reducing defects, improving yield, and increasing operational efficiency. Gather quality metrics and assist in preparing reports for management review.

None Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in accordance with
ASME Y14.5
. Basic understanding of quality principles and aerospace manufacturing processes preferred. Familiarity with quality management systems such as
AS9100, ISO 9001
, or similar standards preferred. Knowledge of inspection tools and measurement equipment, including calipers, micrometers, and Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) . Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required; experience with CAD software or data analysis tools is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Hands-on position requiring interaction across multiple disciplines. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must be able to work with ITAR data without a license . Education, Experience & Training Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Internship or co-op experience in aerospace, manufacturing, or quality engineering is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements & Working Environment Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach as required. Manual dexterity to operate hand tools, machine controls, and measuring instruments. Work is performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments . Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
