Job Description Middle, GA Process Engineer - MUST

Apply today and help us shape the future of our operations! Responsibilities Identify and implement improvements in quality, cost reduction, and operational efficiency. Define objectives, develop test methods, collect samples, and evaluate results to ensure process reliability. Serve as a technical resource for continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing output and reducing manufacturing costs. Collaborate with operations to identify root causes of issues and implement permanent corrective actions. Develop and execute projects aimed at maximizing production output by reducing downtime, waste, and raw material usage.
Manage small capital projects:
define scope, provide economic justification, and prepare capital fund requests. Participate in large capital project teams and lead cross-functional efforts to improve manufacturing and lab batch instructions. Prepare and maintain process safety and operational documentation, including MOCs and pre-startup safety reviews. Experience 3-5 years of experience in an industrial/plant manufacturing environment. Automated chemical batch manufacturing experience preferred. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with technical, production, and maintenance teams. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of DCS systems; Emerson DeltaV preferred. Qualifications BS/MS in Chemical Engineering (preferred), Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities:
Drive improvement in speed, waste and delay per asset objectives. Ensure conformance to FPS, review results and initiates programs to reduce variability to meet quality scorecard metrics. Identify cost savings opportunities and manage expense spending to unit budget limits. Support the operations teams in trouble shooting. Share knowledge with the crews, maintenance and other engineers. Effectively interface with inter-mill departments, staff LCM Process team, Research and Capital Execution teams. Develop and incorporate best practices to optimize key outputs. Develop knowledge and skills in leadership of the application of engineering principles, scientific analysis, and project management. Carry out all job responsibilities in a safe manner. Develop equipment and processes that meet safety codes, policies and guidelines. Provide for the safety and well-being of operators, maintenance, and other personnel. Identify complex technical issues and provide necessary solutions to determine root cause. Assist in the development of others within the area of expertise.
Basic Qualifications :
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Pulp & Paper Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Preferred Qualifications :
Specific technical knowledge in chemical preparation and converting processes. Working with external technical service providers. Continuing self-development. Will learn machine installations and startups
