Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
A well-established company in Newnan, GA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This position will be based at a plant site in the southwest Atlanta metropolitan area. The company is investing heavily in new capital equipment, and the role will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager. The selected candidate will be responsible for planning and designing manufacturing processes, maximizing efficiency, and achieving manufacturing goals according to product specifications. The position offers competitive benefits, bonus potential, and a 401k with a 100% match up to 5%. The standard working hours are 8-5, with the possibility of up to 45-50 hours per week.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design production tooling using 2D & 3D software such as SolidWorks. Implement productivity improvements for current production lines. Conduct root cause analysis of failures and recommend necessary changes. Design and implement production processes for new and existing products. Perform FMEA's on new and existing products. Review product designs for manufacturability. Participate in cross-functional teams to optimize productivity methods. Lead exercises in lean manufacturing, design of experiments, and more. Lead design review meetings for products. Create work instructions, spare parts inventories, and more. Implement automation and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in engineering field. Proficiency in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks, and Microsoft Office. Experience with tooling and project management. Knowledge of automation, robotics, and PLCs. Experience in heavy manufacturing environment. Industry experience in zinc or aluminum die casting, stamping, or similar. Desirable experience in foundry operations. Must be eligible to work in the USA without sponsorship.
