Summer 2027 - MRB/Liaison Design Collegiate Intern in
GAC Savannah Unique Skills:
Position Purpose Gain hands-on engineering experience by design changes to support manufacturing operations and helping solve technical challenges that affect production efficiency. Work alongside experienced engineers to identify opportunities for process improvements, investigate production issues, and assist with design changes that improve productivity, quality, and workflow performance. Learning Opportunities As an Engineering Intern, you will have the opportunity to: Gain exposure to aerospace manufacturing and production environments. Work directly with experienced engineers and technical leaders. Develop problem-solving and analytical skills using real production challenges. Learn engineering investigation and root-cause analysis techniques. Participate in design reviews and process improvement activities. Build experience with engineering documentation, data analysis, and project management tools. Present project results and recommendations to engineering and operational teams.
Qualifications Required:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Preferred skills:
Experience with CAD software, data analysis tools (coding python) , or manufacturing processes. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma concepts. Previous engineering project, co-op, laboratory, or internship experience.

Must be enrolled as a full-time student at the time of application and actively pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher. Completion of sophomore year is required. prior to the internship start date. Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher (without rounding); must be listed on resume.
12 weeks (summer); 14-16 weeks (spring and fall). Must be onsite; this is not a remote position. Must have reliable transportation. This job requires one to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
