• John Deere (Mattoon, IL) This is a high-impact, long-term 1+ year contract opportunity paying up to $44/hr , including 2 weeks of PTO .

Operating 100% onsite in Mattoon, IL , you will provide core industrial engineering and SAP EWM technical support to optimize receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping processes across the facility.

Position Details & Compensation Pay Rate:

Up to $44/hr (W2) .

Location:

100% Onsite at John Deere Warehouse Operations ( Mattoon, IL ).

Duration:

1+ Years (Providing long-term contract stability).

Shift & Hours:

Normal 1st shift hours are 6:00 AM

• 2:30 PM , but requires flexibility to cover 2nd shift (up to 50% of the time) working until 7:00 PM (start times adjust accordingly).

Core Responsibilities SAP EWM Subject Matter Expertise:

Serve as the resident SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) transactional expert—guiding plant operations, troubleshooting system errors, and establishing best practices.

Warehouse Process Engineering:

Define, document, and refine operational processes across receiving, putaway, storage, picking, packing, and shipping to boost productivity, delivery speed, and safety while reducing costs.

Front-Line Workforce Training:

Assist with hands-on SAP EWM training and support for wage employees, pack/ship staff, and material pickers to ensure daily system compliance.

Root Cause & Corrective Action:

Perform root-cause defect investigations and implement corrective action plans to resolve operational bottlenecks and inventory discrepancies.

Data Analytics & Visualization:

Gather, analyze, and visualize warehouse performance metrics to drive continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.

Required Qualifications & Technical Skills Core Technical Expertise:

Demonstrated SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management) transactional expertise. Proven experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and corrective action methodology in a manufacturing or distribution environment. Strong data analytics and data visualization capabilities to measure productivity and quality metrics.

Communication & Teamwork:

Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with front-line operators, engineers, and facility management.

Shift Flexibility & Safety:

Willingness to work flexible shift schedules (including covering 2nd shift up to 50% of the time until 7:00 PM) and wear metatarsal safety boots on Day 1.
