Belcan is seeking a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our aerospace team in Rockford, IL. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in industrial engineering, process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles. The position focuses on analyzing, designing, and implementing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure the highest quality standards in aerospace production.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Design, layout, and optimize production workflows, equipment, and space requirements.
- Conduct time and motion studies to identify areas for process improvements.
- Analyze and prepare production line capacity assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality, to develop and implement process improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
- Coordinate cost-saving programs and participate in New Product Development (NPD) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to ensure successful product launches.
Core Qualifications:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial engineering, preferably within the aerospace manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing execution systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proven leadership in project management and cross-functional team collaboration.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and process improvement.
- Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.
