Job Description

Job Summary The Industrial Engineering Intern will be responsible for a full analysis of existing equipment performance vs. the proposed solution, impairment recommendations, and total project proposal costing. Working closely with the GM of Distribution and the Logistics Industrial Engineer, this individual will conduct research, analyze the current and proposed solution, obtain costing and estimates for order/installation lead times, and develop a high-level project plan. They will then present their findings to the HT Corp. and Romeoville management teams. The Industrial Engineering Intern will also be communicating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to obtain pricing, lead times, vet solutions, and obtain any other useful information relevant to the project. This will be achieved while maintaining HellermannTyton's Quality and EHS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation. Essential Functions Obtain, compile, and analyze capital project costing Document project deliverables Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects and business demands Ability to communicate thoughts clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Perform and interpret time studies to determine cycle times and identify process improvement opportunities Obtain and manipulate data to assist in project calculations Qualifications Must be enrolled at a junior level or above at an accredited college or university Major or course of study toward a Bachelor's in Engineering or Supply Chain A Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above Good organizational and interpersonal skills Experience with AutoCAD Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required Good written and verbal communication skills By applying for a position with HellermannTyton, you understand that should you be made an offer, it will be contingent on your undergoing and successfully completing a background check through the use of our 3rd party supplier.
