Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Planning & Program Launch Lead APQP activities in alignment with OEM requirements (GM, Ford, Stellantis) Develop and maintain: Control Plans
PFMEA / DFMEA
Process Flow Diagrams Coordinate PPAP submissions and approvals with customers Support new product launches and engineering changes (ECNs) Manufacturing Quality Oversight Monitor and improve quality performance in: Hot forming processes (press hardening, quenching) Welding operations (resistance, MIG, laser) Assembly lines for underbody systems Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements Problem Solving & Root Cause Analysis Lead structured problem-solving using: 8D methodology 5 Whys Fishbone (Ishikawa) analysis Respond to customer complaints and warranty issues Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Customer Interface Act as primary quality contact for OEM customers Lead customer audits, visits, and quality reviews Manage customer scorecards and performance metrics Ensure timely response to SPPS/PRRs (Problem Resolution Reports) Continuous Improvement Identify and lead initiatives to reduce scrap, rework, and variation Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies Improve process capability (Cp, Cpk) and reduce defects (PPM) Supplier Quality Support Collaborate with Supplier Quality team on incoming issues Support supplier audits and development activities Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related) Experience 8-10+ years in automotive manufacturing quality Experience with Tier 1 suppliers and OEM customer interaction Strong background in: Hot forming / press hardening Roll Forming Welding technologies Assembly processes Technical Skills
APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA IATF
16949 and
ISO 9001
