Full Job Description Description:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Entry-Level Development & Procurement Associate to join our team. This position will work closely with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Suppliers, Materials, Logistics and Customers throughout the development of automotive components from the initial RFQ through the end of the program. It opportunity for a recent college graduate who wants to build a career in the automotive manufacturing industry , particularly in product development, supplier management, purchasing, sales and program management.
Requirements:
Product Development & Program Support Support new automotive product development and manage running programs. Review customer drawings, specifications, BOMs, and engineering requirements along with respective departments and teams. Coordinate development activities with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and suppliers. Track program timing, milestones, tooling, prototypes, testing, and production readiness. Support engineering changes and communicate changes to suppliers and internal departments. Participate in prototype, trial production, and launch activities. Procurement & Supplier Management Support RFQ preparation and supplier quotation analysis. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations, tooling costs, and development costs. Assist with supplier selection and sourcing activities. Monitor supplier timing, capacity, quality, cost, and delivery performance. Communicate with domestic and international customers, suppliers and the corporate. Support cost reduction and VA/VE activities. Assist with supplier negotiations and commercial discussions. Sales, Cost & Technical Analysis Develop an understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and cost structures (material, labor, tooling, processing, freight, and other cost elements). Compare supplier quotations and identify cost discrepancies or opportunities. Learn to evaluate manufacturing feasibility and supplier capability. Support should-cost and cost-reduction analysis. Quality & Problem Solving Support supplier quality and development activities. Learn and apply automotive problem-solving methodologies such as: o 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, Pareto Analysis o AIAQ Core Tools ( FMEAs, APQP, PPAP, Control Plan, SPC) Participate in root-cause investigations and corrective-action activities. Assist in updating documentation and preventing recurrence of quality issues. Cross-Functional Communication Coordinate effectively with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, and suppliers. Participate in customer and supplier meetings. Prepare reports, presentations, schedules, and project updates. Communicate technical and commercial information clearly in both Korean and English. Required Qualifications Associate degree or higher (Engineering degree or related preferred). Must be able to fluently communicate in English and Korean. Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications Japanese language ability is a strong plus. Internship or co-op experience in automotive, manufacturing, engineering, purchasing, or supply chain. Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering or manufacturing processes. Experience reading engineering drawings or specifications. Familiarity with CAD or manufacturing processes.
