Job Description
Process Engineer Relocation Assistance provided Sign on Bonus! Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and continuously improve manufacturing processes for high-volume production environments.
- Design and implement assembly workstations, tooling, fixtures, and ergonomic solutions.
- Support new product launches through process planning, documentation, and production readiness activities.
- Create and maintain process flows, PFMEAs, control plans, standard work instructions, and related manufacturing documentation.
- Analyze production metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to cycle time, quality, throughput, and efficiency.
- Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues affecting production performance.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to ensure manufacturing processes meet product and business requirements.
- Assist with facility layouts, equipment selection, material flow optimization, and manufacturing line improvements.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, uptime, cost reduction, and error-proofing. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of process engineering experience within automotive or other high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting assembly operations, equipment installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up activities.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, tooling, ergonomics, and quality systems.
- Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Capability Studies, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency with CAD or manufacturing layout software such as AutoCAD, CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical abilities with a proven track record of driving measurable process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
