What You'll Do:
New Product Introduction :
Review new products for manufacturability and determine the processes, tooling, equipment, and production requirements needed for successful manufacturing.
Product & Process Validation :
Review and validate Bills of Materials (BOMs), product specifications, drawings, and tooling. Participate in first sample and initial production runs to identify and implement required adjustments before full production.
Quality Management:
Investigate, document, and resolve internal and external quality issues related to product design and manufacturing processes. Perform root-cause analysis, implement and document corrective actions, and establish quality controls and standards to prevent recurring issues.
Production Support & Process Optimization:
Work directly with the production team on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot product, process, tooling, and equipment issues. Optimize manufacturing processes and tooling to close gaps between design intent and actual results and ensure consistent, repeatable production.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement opportunities to improve product quality, manufacturing efficiency, productivity, process reliability, and consistency.
Manufacturing Technology :
Support manufacturing software, production data systems, and the implementation of product traceability technologies.
What You'll Bring:
2+ years of relevant manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred. Experience working in a manufacturing environment with direct exposure to production operations. Experience with process improvement, troubleshooting, tooling, quality, or new product introduction (strongly preferred). Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Experience with root-cause analysis and corrective-action processes is an asset.
