What You Can Expect Responsible for the design, development, and processing of implant and instrument packaging under the direction of a project leader or manager. How You'll Create Impact Designing for manufacturability, inspectibility, and optimum cost Generating prototype models to evaluate new design concepts Coordinating product evaluation with surgeons Generating comprehensive protocols for testing/analyzing the product Generating design assurance documentation for the project This is not an exhaustive list of duties or functions and may not necessarily comprise all of the "essential functions" for purposes of the ADA. What Makes You Stand Out Familiarity with drafting standards and geometric differences and tolerancing Active participation in development meetings with surgeons and key Zimmer personnel Ability to effectively work within a team to expedite completion of critical project tasks with other functional groups Helping to identify customer requirements for a new product Establishing a process method which meets performance and quality requirements Your Background Must be actively enrolled in an academic program for the entire duration of the assignment. Pursuit of Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Science or Engineering strongly required. Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during both co-op terms.
