Job Description
Description Optimize supply chain and logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Manage inventory and warehouse operations, including inspection protocols for incoming and outgoing materials. Analyze process and quality data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Partner with suppliers to improve quality, manage non‑conforming materials, and evaluate supplier performance. Serve as a liaison between Engineering and Supply Chain teams by translating BOMs and ECOs into production, sourcing, and procurement plans. Proactively identify material risks such as obsolescence, shortages, or supply disruptions and collaborate with Engineering on alternate components. Validate manufacturing and assembly processes to reduce lead times using lean methods, time studies, and process simulation. Develop, track, and report supply chain and supplier KPIs to ensure performance targets are met. Audit manufacturing and production processes to ensure compliance with company, customer, and industry standards. Collaborate cross‑functionally with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and improve manufacturing capabilities. Review new product designs for manufacturability (DFMA) and align material availability with production schedules. Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, quality reports, and technical documentation. Perform root cause analysis on field and production issues and ensure corrective actions are properly implemented. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and cost performance. Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information, stay organized, and solve problems effectively across independent and cross‑functional work environments. Strong capability using spreadsheet‑based tools for advanced data evaluation, reporting, and quantitative modeling. Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative, team‑first approach. Hands‑on experience diagnosing electronic hardware issues and formally documenting root‑cause findings. High level of manual dexterity paired with meticulous attention to accuracy and workmanship. Practical experience working with lab and manufacturing test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, microscopes, and similar tools; soldering experience is beneficial but not required. Ability to rapidly absorb new information, prioritize effectively, and respond decisively under time‑sensitive conditions. Detail‑focused and dependable, with a consistent record of meeting deadlines and quality expectations. Proven mindset for identifying inefficiencies and recommending process changes that improve performance and control costs. Actively keeps current with evolving manufacturing methods, tools, and industry best practices. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Lisle, IL.
