Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Continuous Improvement Technician to support operational improvement initiatives within our hydraulic cylinder manufacturing facility. This position works closely with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams to identify opportunities for improving productivity, quality, safety, and on-time delivery. The Continuous Improvement Technician will assist with implementing process improvements, collecting and analyzing production data, and supporting lean manufacturing initiatives throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with excellent problem-solving skills who enjoys working on the production floor and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve daily operations. Responsibilities Continuous Improvement & Operational Support Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, workflow, quality, safety, and operational efficiency. Analyze manufacturing processes and assist in identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve flow, and increase throughput. Collect and maintain production data and assist in tracking plant performance metrics. Participate in process reviews, audits, and operational assessments to identify improvement opportunities. Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and standardized work throughout the facility. Assist in developing and maintaining work instructions, visual controls, and operating procedures. Participate in facility and process improvement projects. Support cross-functional teams during new product launches by assisting with production readiness, documentation, training, and process implementation. Work with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Production to help resolve manufacturing issues and improve new product introduction processes. Production Support Collaborate with scheduling, production, purchasing, engineering, and quality teams to improve communication and production flow. Assist in identifying production constraints and support efforts to improve throughput and efficiency. Monitor operational metrics and report performance trends to supervisors and leadership. Support workflow improvements and labor efficiency initiatives. Assist with equipment implementation, capital projects, and process optimization activities. Provide day-to-day support for manufacturing operations as needed. Safety, Quality, and Compliance Promote a safe work environment by following OSHA standards and company safety policies. Support housekeeping, organization, and safe work practices throughout the facility. Assist with quality improvement initiatives to ensure products meet company and customer requirements. Support compliance with
ISO 9001
2015 standards and company procedures. Basic Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent manufacturing experience. 1+ years of manufacturing, production, or continuous improvement experience. Experience working with ERP systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP software. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, and process improvement tools. Experience in the fluid power or hydraulic manufacturing industry. Familiarity with OEM quality requirements. Knowledge of
ISO 9001
2015 standards. Experience with Made2Manage ERP. Experience in a custom manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
