• manufacturing What you would do Typical responsibilities could include: Managing supplier quality performance through metrics, scorecards, and regular performance reviews Conducting supplier audits and assessments against quality standards and regulatory requirements Coordinating corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with suppliers to address quality issues Collaborating with engineering and procurement teams to define supplier quality specifications and acceptance criteria Leading a small team or coordinating across multiple suppliers to drive compliance and process improvement Maintaining quality management system (QMS) documentation and supplier qualification records Investigating quality escapes and implementing systemic improvements to prevent recurrence Supporting supplier training and capability development programs What you could bring Most roles of this type require the following: Must-have 5-10 years of supplier quality, quality engineering, or quality management experience Proven experience managing supplier compliance and quality systems (QMS) 1-2 years of experience leading or mentoring a team Background in engineering, industrial engineering, or a related discipline Knowledge of quality standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, or equivalent) and statistical quality methods Strong communication and problem-solving skills Authorization to work in the United States Nice-to-have Experience with automotive, medical device, aerospace, or other regulated manufacturing environments Proficiency with quality management software and data analytics Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or continuous improvement methodologies Project management or cross-functional coordination experience What roles of this type could offer Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role: Opportunity to influence product quality and supplier reliability across multiple partners Experience working with complex supply chains and engineering teams in a regulated or high-precision environment Potential for progression toward senior quality or operations leadership roles Exposure to quality systems, compliance frameworks, and continuous improvement methodologies Collaborative, cross-functional work environment with clear accountability for quality outcomes Contract-based flexibility and the ability to make a measurable impact on supplier performance and product integrity About Specialist Staffing Group We are a specialist recruitment firm connecting talented professionals with leading organizations across engineering, quality, manufacturing, and related disciplines.
