JOB SUMMARY

A Michigan‑based, full‑service professional services organization is seeking a Desktop Engineer to support the management, deployment, and ongoing operation of endpoint systems and related infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across multiple office locations. The Desktop Engineer will oversee SCCM and Intune environments , manage operating systems and applications, handle imaging and software packaging, administer Microsoft Teams (including telephony and carrier services) , manage Active Directory Group Policy , and coordinate end‑user hardware procurement and lifecycle management. This is a 100% onsite position supporting all offices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑oriented, and committed to delivering excellent internal client service. New SCCM server build in progress Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting expectations Vendor coordination and hardware purchasing responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities Manage and administer Microsoft SCCM and Microsoft Intune, including configuration, policy creation, compliance monitoring, and ongoing platform maintenance Create, manage, and troubleshoot Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) Develop, test, and deploy operating system images and software packages Administer and support Microsoft Teams , including telephony and voice integrations with carrier services Manage the full end‑user hardware lifecycle (procurement, deployment, refresh, decommissioning) Coordinate with hardware and software vendors for support, warranties, and equipment delivery Plan, test, and deploy Microsoft OS and Office updates and upgrades Maintain system documentation, SOPs, and deployment workflows Resolve complex endpoint and system issues, escalating when appropriate Manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal operational disruption Participate in an after‑hours on‑call rotation as needed Skills Application packaging, SCCM, Intune, GPOs, Microsoft Teams, O365, hardware lifecycle management, Group Policy, imaging, phone services, Active Directory, automated deployment tools, vendor management, desktop support, Windows 11 Top Skills

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $36.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
