Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Production Engineer will work at a customer site to support and assist our operations teams. TheProduction Engineer's main goal is to help run the plant and solve issues surrounding process,mechanical, operational, and control issues. The work will include performing field tests and troubleshooting, water sampling, supporting operations and maintenance personnel, gathering data and performing process calculations to ensure equipment and processes are being operated within proper design guidelines. Monitoring process data, developing operations procedures and working with others within the organization.
Key Characteristics:
Technical ability and desire to be the production engineer for a 24/7 water treatment facility.

We are looking for a strong communicator who is able to produce quality technical reports/documents, interact with customer representatives, work alongside Veolia management and operations in a professional manner.

Chemical or Mechanical Engineering degree and 3-5 years experience in the petrochemical or water / wastewater industry.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for operational KPIs and making process improvements to safely meet the facility needs.

Responsible for reading and understanding Piping and Instrumentation (P&ID) Drawings, Process Flow DiagramsWill evaluate feed water and product water qualities and quantities, using field instruments and equipment, to ensure they are within contractual requirementsPerforms chemical dosing calculations, RO membrane projections, and verifies equipment set-up in terms of flowrates, pressures, and fluxes.

Optimize chemical selection and dosing to achieve the best results for specific customer needsRegularly reviews operations and performance of equipment such as clarification, filtration, RO, and filter press dewatering processesWill assist operations teams with process support.

Interface with Leadership, Production Managers and Customer Representatives that are responsible for on-site operations. Provide this team technical input and guidance on a real-time basis.

Education & ExperienceRequired:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Focus in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is preferredMinimum of 3 years work experience in a petrochemical or industrial water environment
Preferred :
5 years work experience in a petrochemical or industrial water environmentWorking ConditionsThis position is located in Hemlock, Michigan.
