JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Controls Engineer Co-Op and Intern is responsible for: Learning and applying controls principles for the production machines and equipment across the campus. Keeping the control systems updated from a day-to-day operation. Continues to improve processes to meet increasing customer requirements and demands. Communicate and interact with the production associates, maintenance, and engineering teams across the campus.
Other position requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and working towards a 4 year B.S. degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering. Minimum overall GPA of at least 3.0. Previous internship or co-op experience in automotive related position an added plus AutoCAD experience is an added plus. Experience developing macros is an added plus. Solid analytical skills and work effectively with plant and corporate teams. Strong verbal and written communication skills; attention to detail, organization skills and follow up Proficient in MS Office Qualifications Be able to lift up to 35 pounds as part of job rotation. Be able to stand for the duration of the shift. Background check and drug screen (for illegal drugs).
