Job Description

Core Duties and Functions Provide training and instruction to team members concerning injection molding machinery and operational procedures. Conduct diagnostic analysis to rectify production and quality challenges within the plastic injection molding department. Contribute to the development and execution of ongoing process enhancement initiatives. Develop standardized procedures for incoming products to guarantee that productivity goals, quality benchmarks, and client specifications are achieved. Execute strategic process modifications to improve and shorten cycle durations. Calculate anticipated shot weights and cycle times for upcoming product launches. Maintain a secure and tidy production environment to support operational excellence. Execute root cause analysis and implement effective corrective measures for product-related issues. Execute necessary machine changeovers and make precise process adjustments as required. Manage all essential documentation, record-keeping, and reporting tasks. Foster a positive workplace culture that aligns with the long-term goals of the organization. Uphold all safety protocols and maintain a well-organized and sanitary workspace. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. Educational Background Bachelor degree in Engineering Technology, Process Engineering, or a related discipline with a focus on plastic injection molding, or at least 5 years of relevant industry experience. Comprehensive understanding of injection molding machine operations, peripheral systems, and engineered resin materials. Technical Proficiency Proficiency in operating grinders, calipers, gages, cranes, and various hand tools. Experience utilizing powered pallet jacks and industrial trucks. Competency in standard office software and computer systems. Skill in operating handheld scanning devices. Practical understanding of the manufacturing machinery located within the designated work zone. Physical Demands and Environment Work involves an office setting with standard peripheral noise and extended periods of VDT usage. Regular exposure to high-noise levels typical of a manufacturing facility. Potential hazards include proximity to moving machinery, electrical components, and parts. Risk of significant injury if safety protocols are not strictly followed around heavy equipment. Frequent travel via automobile in busy traffic environments to visit client sites. Risk of physical harm resulting from potential vehicular accidents. Ability to lift, transport, or maneuver items weighing as much as 50 pounds.
