Industrial Engineer Key Responsibilities Lead continuous improvement projects end-to-end using DMAIC methodology, with emphasis on efficiency, throughput, cost savings, and quality outcomes Map current-state processes and develop justified future-state plans utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools (VSM, From-to Charts, Relationship Charts, Spaghetti diagrams, Cost Analysis, Kanban, Poka-Yoke, 5 Whys, 5S, and waste elimination frameworks) Apply statistical and quality tools including FMEA/PFMEA, Gage R&R, Control Charts, SPC, Cpk, DOE, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Regression Analysis, and Fishbone Diagrams Develop and implement standard operating procedures Design and validate new concepts from initial research through feasibility studies Deliver executive-level presentations (Teams, in-person) to communicate findings and drive decision-making Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project ownership and measurable outcomes Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited program 2+ years of manufacturing industry experience with demonstrated involvement in continuous improvement initiatives Solid knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies Mechanical and technical aptitude with hands-on manufacturing awareness Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite Strong statistical knowledge applied to manufacturing and quality control Experience delivering executive presentations, both virtual (Teams) and in-person Proven track record delivering projects with measurable ROI or financial impact Highly self-directed with demonstrated "hunter" mindset for identifying high-impact opportunities Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills Ability to travel (approximately 30%) — primarily within Mankato/Minnesota area and US facilities Preferred Qualifications Background in printing and fulfillment industry Experience leading cross-functional teams and owning project outcomes Advanced Six Sigma certification (Black Belt or Green Belt) Experience with ERP/manufacturing software systems What We Offer Opportunity to make direct impact on operational performance Exposure to enterprise-level projects and stakeholders Professional development in continuous improvement methodologies Collaborative team environment with production leaders across multiple facilities
