Job Description

The Process Engineer I ensures Process Engineering Standards and how they relate to the development, documentation, and production of all products at All Flex. The Process Engineer I has a thorough understanding of circuit assembly and design variables which affect product quality. The Process Engineer I reports to the Process Engineering Manager. Essential Job Duties Own and back-up a limited number of processes. Support Operations with process, equipment, instruction, material, and part number challenges. Own daily root cause analysis on failures, and corrective and preventative actions. Fully document Standard Operating Procedures, Control Plans, Risk Mitigations, Environmental Health & Safety Requirements. Photo and video-based instructions are desired. Write assembly instructions for part numbers as needed. Participate in cross-functional improvements. Own small projects. Support audits and customer visits. Maintain and improve process controls and process capability. Corroborate with and travel to other AFS factories, to grow knowledge. Provide occasional evening and weekend phone support. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's of Science degree in an engineering field: manufacturing, mechanical, chemical, electrical, or industrial, or similar studies. Experience and/or Training 0-2 years of relevant experience Experienced with Minitab. Experience with SPC, Lean Manufacturing implementation, Theory of Constraints or Cell Manufacturing Technology/Equipment Strong Microsoft Office skills. Travel Up to 5% Additional Skill Set Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong technical writing skills. Skilled in project management. Self-motivated and detail oriented. We offer a competitive base salary in the $80,000 to $100,000 range, based on experience and qualifications, along with annual bonus and profit-sharing opportunities tied to performance.
