Creve Coeur, MO Growing sheet metal fabrication and powder coating company seeking recent engineering graduates looking to gain practical, technical, and hands-on experience in the manufacturing industry. This person will follow an upward mobility path with projects in areas of both production and pre-production. Their skills will be assessed in fabrication, programming, process knowledge, systems, and leadership. Engineer in training will

• Work on the production floor to gain hands-on experience in fabrication, machine-operating, and other aspects of production
• Under the guidance of a manager or supervisor, they will fulfill various tasks ranging from assisting staff with new projects, offering suggestions on existing methods, operating CNC equipment such as laser, punches, robotic welders, and press breaks
• Duties include but are not limited to reading and interpreting blue prints, reading and interpreting job traveler/router, set up, and operational functions
• As the candidate gains the skills to do so, they may advance in the company.

This position has been designed to give recent engineering graduates the experience and necessary skills and knowledge to be successful in the manufacturing field.

Job Requirements:

• Relevant degree in engineering
• Driver's license
• Analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a team
• Good observation skills and a willingness to learn
• Manual dexterity and ability to work in situations requiring bending, kneeling, and carrying up to 50 pounds

Requirements:

Must demonstrate competency in interpreting technical blueprints. Proficient in Microsoft Applications. Ability to communicate written and orally

Physical Requirements:

Frequent movement from office to production floor. Ability to lift maximum of 50 pounds. Required to wear foot and eye protection on production floor.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Experience working in a manufacturing facility. Previous experience with nesting software. Technical or engineering degree related to manufacturing.
