Senior Industrial Engineer

AECOM is recruiting talented individuals to lead our Industrial Engineering team across multiple regions and offices.



Reporting to a Market Sector Leader or Industrial Principal, you will support the delivery of high-value Advanced Manufacturing and Industrial projects, contributing to both technical excellence and commercial success while developing Client relationships and Business developmentAs the Senior Industrial Engineer, you will develop and deliver a high-performing Process Optimization capability that delivers complex, high-impact projects across a range of Federal and Commercial industries, while embedding Lean thinking and industrial best practice into all aspects of delivery.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • In this role, your expectations will include, but will not be limited to:+ Manage the development of value propositions for process optimization, manufacturing and industrial advisory services+ Develop data-driven insights and translate them into practical, deliverable solutions+ Manage and Deliver projects and workstreams to agreed quality, cost and schedule+ Lean, Six Sigma and industrial engineering techniques to analyze and improve client operations+ Build effective relationships with clients and internal stakeholders+ Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and thought leadership+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across AECOM+ Contribute to the development of best practice methods and standards+ Support capability development through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing+ •This role will include travel across the United States, as well as internationally as needed•Qualifications•
Minimum Requirements:
  • + Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline plus 8 years of related experience, or demonstrable equivalent experience
    +
  • Due to the nature of the role, United States Citizenship is required
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • + Master's Degree
    + Professional memberships and/or certifications will be beneficial
    + 15 years overall industry experience, with 3-5 years of role-specific experience
    + Background in manufacturing, industrial engineering, process improvement, or related operational environments
    + Experience working within or alongside highly regulated industries (e.

g. defense, aviation, nuclear, infrastructure, manufacturing)

+ Demonstrated ability to analyze complex problems and develop practical, value-driven solutions

+ Experience applying Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)

+ Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

+ Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams

+ Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations

+ Experience applying Lean principles in non-manufacturing environments

+ Consulting experience in complex project environments is a plus

  • Additionally, experience in the following areas is preferable:
  • + Process mapping, analysis and optimization
    + Production systems, facility design or industrial operations
    + Data analysis and performance improvement
    + Project delivery and workstream management
    + Automation, robotics or manufacturing systems integration
    + Digital manufacturing, simulation or data analytics tools
    + Experience applying Lean principles in non-manufacturing environments
  • Additional Information
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
    Travel to client sites will be required across the US and, w necessary, internationally with approximately 15-20% travel.

  • Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The range for this position is $130000 to $187000.
