ASAP Must haves: Authorization to work in the US Previous experience within the Food Manufacturing (Flavour, Labels, Packaging or Pharma) Industry. About the Role We're working with a leading food manufacturer in Hawthorne, NJ, who is looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer to join their growing operations team. This is a hands-on, plant‑floor‑based role focused on analysing production processes, driving continuous improvement, and supporting high‑speed food/CPG packaging operations. If you have a passion for Lean, love solving problems on the shop floor, and enjoy making processes faster, safer, and more efficient — this is the role for you. What You'll Be Doing Evaluating production flows, staffing levels, and operational standards Leading plant‑floor continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, VSM, zero‑loss analysis, Visual Management) Identifying root causes of waste across all 7 waste categories and implementing sustainable improvements Managing small capital projects ($50k- 500k) Translating operational KPIs into financial impacts (labour, materials, performance metrics) Partnering with supervision, maintenance, and hourly teams to drive real, on‑the‑ground change Supporting high‑speed food or CPG packaging lines About You 5-10 years' experience in Food, CPG, Pharma or similar high-speed manufacturing Strong background in continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma certification preferred) Demonstrated success delivering hands-on improvement projects (not just reporting) Degree in Industrial Engineering (ME/CE also considered) Experience with small CapEx projects Strong understanding of cost accounting from an operational viewpoint Bilingual skills are a plus Comfortable in a plant-floor environment Why Join?
