POSITION INFORMATION
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Compliance Engineer manages supplier data, product compliance activities, ESG initiatives, and supplier engagement. This role serves as a key liaison between suppliers and internal stakeholders by maintaining centralized information and turning complex supplier and product data into actionable insights that support compliance, supplier performance, and business decisions. It also supports lean project management initiatives by driving process improvement, standardization, and data integrity across supplier compliance and reporting activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect, organize, maintain, and continuously improve supplier and product data within centralized systems, ensuring information is accurate, accessible, and meaningful for cross-functional use. Respond to internal and external inquiries related to supplier documentation, product compliance requirements, certifications, and general ESG expectations. Partner with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to obtain, validate, maintain, and align compliance, sustainability, and performance-related information, ensuring timely issue resolution and responsiveness to regulatory, customer, and business requirements. Drive supplier engagement by monitoring data completeness, documentation quality, and performance trends, and support initiatives that enhance supplier capability, quality, and supply chain transparency. Lead or support lean improvement projects related to supplier compliance, data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and process standardization using structured problem-solving and project tracking methods. Analyze supplier data and performance trends to identify gaps, risks, improvement opportunities, and follow-up actions. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, trackers, and summaries that present supplier, compliance, and ESG information in a clear and actionable format. Performs other duties or special projects as required or assigned by management.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Educational/Training Requirement:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Experience :
3 to 5+ years of directly related experience. Background in a manufacturing or similar operating environment. Experience in supply chain, supplier quality, supplier development, compliance, procurement, or a related operational function. Proficiency using spreadsheets, ERP systems, supplier databases, or similar business systems for centralized data management. Proven ability supporting supplier ESG programs, customer sustainability requests, or product stewardship initiatives. Experience preparing reports and summaries for leadership and cross-functional partners.
Licenses/Certifications:
N/A Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of supplier documentation, product compliance requirements, and ESG or sustainability information requests. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with suppliers and internal teams to gather information and drive follow-up. High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and manage large sets of supplier and product data. Familiarity with supplier scorecards, audit support, corrective action follow-up, or supplier performance tracking. Knowledge of quality systems and compliance frameworks. Working knowledge of lean principles, continuous improvement tools, and project management methods. Proficiency with Excel and other data visualization or reporting tools.
