A Packaging Industrial Engineer develops models to create packaging that fits a company's product. Finds new solutions for packaging, tests materials and specifications. Determines resources needed for current and newly developed packaging procedures.
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Executive with 2-3 years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain operations, preferably in packaging materials. The ideal candidate should have hands-on technical knowledge of packaging components, supplier management, inventory planning, and cross-functional coordination to ensure uninterrupted supply while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and manage procurement of packaging components based on production and demand forecasts. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of packaging materials. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to avoid shortages or excess inventory. Work closely with Packaging Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams for new product launches and packaging changes. Understand packaging specifications, drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation. Evaluate supplier performance on quality, cost, delivery, and responsiveness. Resolve supply issues, quality concerns, and delivery delays with suppliers. Support sourcing of new packaging components and supplier qualification activities. Ensure compliance with company quality standards and regulatory requirements. Track key supply chain KPIs such as OTIF (On-Time In-Full), inventory turns, and supplier performance. Participate in cost reduction and packaging optimization initiatives. Maintain accurate procurement, inventory, and supplier records in ERP systems.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Packaging Technology, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, or Packaging Operations. Experience in industries such as Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, Food & Beverage, or Consumer Products is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
The candidate should have knowledge of packaging components such as: Cartons and folding boxes Labels Corrugated shippers Bottles (HDPE, PET, Glass) Caps, closures, droppers, pumps Flexible packaging (pouches, sachets) Foils Shrink sleeves Packaging artwork and specifications

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
