  • Lauder Summer 2027 Intern, Packaging Development
  • provides support to the Global Packaging Development team while gaining hands-on experience in package engineering, innovation, and commercialization within The Estée Lauder Companies.

Working closely with Packaging Development professionals, the intern contributes to packaging projects across one or more brands or product categories while building foundational knowledge of packaging materials, manufacturing processes, package testing, sustainability, and project management. Through meaningful project work, mentoring, and training, the intern develops technical and professional skills while learning how innovative packaging solutions support brand growth and consumer experience.

Success in this role comes from asking thoughtful questions, embracing new experiences, building foundational technical knowledge, and contributing positively to team objectives. Interns are encouraged to explore packaging engineering principles, consumer and industry trends, and emerging technologies while receiving coaching and guidance from experienced Packaging Development professionals. The intern demonstrates professionalism, accountability, collaboration, and a growth mindset throughout the internship experience.

  • Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Materials Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Under Guidance and Supervision, Responsible For
  • + Supporting package development activities and assigned project tasks. + Assisting with technical documentation, data collection, and analysis. + Participating in project team meetings and providing status updates as appropriate. + Learning packaging development processes, tools, and systems. + Supporting package testing, benchmarking, and innovation research activities.

  • + Packaging concept development and technical evaluations. + Innovation research and competitive benchmarking. + Sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives. + Cross-functional team collaboration and project execution.
