Job Description
Job Description Summary GE Vernova is seeking a Generator Design Liaison Engineer to support manufacturing operations at our Schenectady, NY facility. This role serves as a key technical interface between generator design engineering and manufacturing, helping ensure design intent is translated into manufacturable, high-quality, and cost-effective production outcomes across critical generator components. Working closely with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams, this engineer will support resolution of technical issues, contribute to producibility improvements, and assist execution throughout the product lifecycle of GE Vernova's 50 Hz and 60 Hz air-cooled, hydrogen-cooled, and liquid-cooled generators. This position requires a regular presence on the production floor and flexibility to support operations as needed across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. The scope of responsibility includes support for major generator sub-systems, including:
- Rotor
- Armature (stator) core
- Armature winding
- Armature core steel punching/lamination
