Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Warehouse Design and Layout Engineer to revolutionize our distribution and manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will lead the planning, development, and optimization of warehouse layouts to enhance efficiency, safety, and productivity. Your expertise in industrial engineering, CAD software, robotics, and process improvement will drive innovative solutions that streamline operations and support scalable growth. Duties Develop comprehensive warehouse layouts using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD tools to maximize space utilization and workflow efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies in current layouts and implement targeted process improvements aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, automation specialists, and operations teams to integrate robotics, industrial automation, vision inspection systems, and other industrial equipment into layout designs. Lead project scheduling efforts for layout redesigns or new facility setups, ensuring timely completion within budget constraints. Perform engineering troubleshooting related to process engineering, tooling, fabrication, or assembly line challenges encountered during layout implementation. Utilize Six Sigma methodologies and quality improvement programs to refine processes and enhance overall operational performance. Prepare detailed schematics, schematics diagrams, and engineering data analysis reports for project documentation and compliance purposes. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on factory or warehouse design. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar tools for creating detailed schematics and layouts. Strong knowledge of project management principles including project scheduling and cross-functional collaboration. Familiarity with robotics programming, industrial automation systems, vision inspection systems, welding techniques, tooling fabrication, and assembly processes. Expertise in process improvement methodologies such as Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma manufacturing to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Ability to perform engineering troubleshooting using root cause analysis techniques across various industrial equipment and systems. Experience with factory or manufacturing facility setup including assembly line configuration and industrial equipment integration. Excellent communication skills for team leadership and collaboration across multiple departments involved in process engineering and layout design.
