Job Description

Industrial Engineer responsible for improving manufacturing productivity, labor utilization, production flow, equipment capacity, and cost performance through industrial engineering and continuous improvement methods. Job Requirements Experience with manufacturing continuous improvement and productivity initiatives. Experience performing detailed production and cost analytics. Experience conducting time studies using MODAPTS or similar predetermined time systems. Experience with production line balancing. Experience using Yamazumi charts or similar line-balancing tools. Experience analyzing value-added, non-value-added, semi-value-added, and unbalanced production activities. Experience conducting cost studies and production flow analysis. Experience with labor utilization, production routers, and manufacturing costing. Experience with equipment capacity analysis and planning. Preferred Skills Experience supporting structured continuous improvement or production system methodologies. Experience developing cost-reduction project pipelines. Experience supporting new model or part introductions into manufacturing operations. Experience with level loading across manufacturing workstations and departments. Experience establishing labor productivity targets and measuring performance against those targets. Job Responsibilities Drive continuous improvement initiatives using manufacturing and operational analytics. Develop and maintain a pipeline of cost-reduction projects. Conduct MODAPTS time studies to establish and improve manufacturing labor standards. Perform line-balancing analysis using Yamazumi charts for production rate changes. Identify value-added, non-value-added, semi-value-added, and unbalanced production activities. Conduct cost studies to determine efficient product flow through manufacturing operations. Support implementation of continuous improvement programs and projects. Support short- and long-term labor productivity targets. Scope and analyze manufacturing cost-reduction projects. Support integration of new models and parts into production operations. Develop and maintain equipment capacity data and production capacity plans. Develop and maintain product costing, manufacturing routers, line balances, and labor utilization standards. Support level loading across workstations and departments to balance production flow and available capacity.
Pay:
