In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety across production lines. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of innovative automation solutions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cross-functional projects, troubleshoot complex process issues, and contribute to the development of cutting-edge manufacturing techniques in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Develop, evaluate, and refine manufacturing processes using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to ensure optimal performance and compliance with engineering standards. Lead process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and industrial automation techniques to reduce waste and increase productivity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, and quality engineers to troubleshoot process issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations or defects, utilizing engineering data analysis tools to identify underlying problems and prevent recurrence. Program and optimize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and robot programming systems for automation tasks within plastics injection molding, welding, or assembly operations. Create detailed schematics and technical documentation for process workflows, control systems, and vision inspection systems to ensure clarity and compliance. Manage project scheduling for process upgrades or new equipment installations while coordinating with manufacturing facility teams to meet deadlines. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field; advanced certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean management are highly desirable. Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role within a factory setting, with hands-on knowledge of assembly line processes and factory automation. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD tools for designing schematics and process layouts. Strong understanding of plastics injection molding processes, vision inspection systems, welding techniques, and industrial automation systems involving PLCs and robotics. Skilled in engineering troubleshooting, root cause analysis, project management, and data analysis to support quality improvement programs. Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), Schematics creation, factory experience, and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma manufacturing.
