Job Description

Join a high-performing team that is going for a home run! Copperweld is looking for a driven, dedicated Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement initiatives, optimize manufacturing operations, and support the development of best-in-class production processes. This role is critical to ensuring consistent quality, improving efficiency, and driving innovation on the shop floor. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, a hands-on mindset, and a passion for solving complex problems in a high-performance manufacturing environment. This position will sit on-site in Fayetteville at our Cotton Mill location. WHAT we need you to do. Analyze, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and increase product quality. Collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Engineering teams to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues. Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for process deviations and production challenges. Design and execute experiments to validate process changes and new technologies. Support capital projects and equipment installations, ensuring proper integration with existing systems. Document and maintain process standards, procedures, and best practices. Evaluate and implement automation opportunities to reduce labor and increase repeatability. Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable results. Monitor and report key process KPIs and provide insight into trends and opportunities. Stay current on new manufacturing technologies, materials, and industry advancements. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT you need to possess. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering required. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a process or manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a high-volume or industrial setting. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production systems, and process optimization techniques. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Proficient in data analysis, root cause investigation, and technical reporting. Hands-on experience with manufacturing equipment, tooling, and automation systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working cross-functionally on the shop floor and in meetings. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CAD, Minitab, or similar tools is a plus. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and results-oriented mindset. WHY Copperweld?
