This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop technical expertise across various engineering disciplines, contribute to process improvements, and support the manufacturing operations. As a Jr Engineer, you will be integral in driving efficiency, quality, and innovation within our production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that enhance overall performance. Responsibilities Assist in project scheduling and tracking to ensure timely completion of engineering initiatives and manufacturing projects. Conduct root cause analysis on production issues, identifying underlying problems and proposing effective corrective actions. Support CAD design activities using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and other CAD software for creating schematics, assembly drawings, and fabrication plans. Participate in programming and troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial automation systems to optimize manufacturing processes. Contribute to plastics injection molding processes, including process setup, troubleshooting, and quality improvement initiatives. Engage in robot programming for automation tasks such as welding, assembly line operations, and vision inspection systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvement projects utilizing Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement strategies. Assist in the analysis of engineering data related to manufacturing efficiency, quality metrics, and process performance. Support factory equipment maintenance including CNC machines, industrial equipment, fabrication tools, and CNC programming. Aid in the development of schematics and technical documentation for industrial equipment and systems. Participate in team leadership activities during project execution and process upgrades while practicing safety standards. Qualifications Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or Creo is essential; experience with CAM programming is a plus. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes including injection molding, welding, robotics, CNC machining, and assembly line operations. Knowledge of industrial automation systems including PLC programming and vision inspection systems. Strong analytical skills for engineering troubleshooting and data analysis related to manufacturing processes. Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills with attention to detail; proactive problem-solving mindset.
