Job Description

Job Description Insight Global is seeking an Industrial Engineer to support one of our largest automotive clients at their Spring Hill Assembly Plant. This individual will work directly within the General Assembly organization and be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and overall manufacturing performance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Support the General Assembly production area by identifying and implementing process improvements to optimize manufacturing operations and increase throughput. Conduct detailed time studies and labor analysis to evaluate workstation effectiveness, cycle times, and operator utilization. Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and constraints impacting line performance and vehicle output. Develop and implement line balancing strategies to improve workflow, reduce downtime, and ensure operations consistently meet takt time requirements. Create, modify, and maintain manufacturing layouts using AutoCAD and other engineering tools to improve material flow, ergonomics, and overall plant efficiency. Similar responsibilities have been performed by GM Industrial Engineers supporting production layouts and automation initiatives. Partner with production teams, manufacturing engineers, maintenance personnel, quality teams, and union operators to troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
