This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improving quality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Associate II, Facilities Engineering Technical Support (Science/Tech/Engineering Path), is primarily responsible for supporting the design, planning, and maintenance of facilities and equipment, including facility modifications and contractor management. In this role, a typical day will include: To maintain and troubleshoot the various industrial water systems and equipment. To perform a variety of repairs, troubleshooting, electrical and/or maintenance duties on various water systems on the Alcon Fort Worth campus. Energy plant water treatment of cooling towers, chillers, and Boilers. Conners buildings RO/DI, and WFI systems. Secondary duties will include assisting maintenance of industrial facilities systems in the various campus buildings. Performs daily preventative and corrective maintenance to various industrial water systems and equipment, mechanical and electrical equipment related to energy plant utility support systems focusing on water purification systems and water treatment systems. Performs instrumentation, electrical and computerized system troubleshooting and repairs with assistance of Plant and/or vendor engineering. Maintain, repair and trouble shoot water systems and equipment within the facility. Perform routine maintenance on water purification equipment including DI/Carbon exchange, Reverse Osmosis and energy plant water system equipment. Perform filter changes and water sanitization procedures. Review and follow safety procedures for all equipment. Comply with company policies, SOP's. Familiarity with cGMP, and environmental regulations. Perform preventive, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, safety checks, repairs, installations and modifications on Facilities equipment. Supports equipment validation and quality activities.

Not Available Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
Maintenance work experience in an industrial setting maintaining DI water system or water service company. Prefer experience in pharmaceutical, food or other highly regulated industry. Hands-on work on industrial pure water systems: RO, mixed beds, EDI, or distillation columns. Capability to interpret mechanical, electrical and PLC drawings and diagrams. Knowledge on troubleshooting to include but not limited to: motors, pumps, valves, switches, transmitters, sensors, gauges and controllers. Current SC Wastewater license preferred.
